GCN in Copenhagen: Climate action will not be costly, says GCN patron

Avoiding dangerous climate change is not only 'viable' but also inexpensive, Dr Rajendra Pachauri, chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and patron of the Global Climate Network has told the opening session of the landmark Copenhagen climate summmit.

Dr Pachauri urged leaders, who will arrive next week to thrash out the final details of an agreement, to be bold and said that developed countries must take the lead.
